About the AuthorElizabeth N. Lawton
Elizabeth N. Lawton is an operational strategist, well-being advocate, and the creator of the Living Framework. Drawing on four decades of leadership and technical experience, research and holistic practice, she wrote How Personal Transformation Works, Nine Universal Codes as a deep inquiry into how people change and develop.
Elizabeth began her career in the U.S. Navy, serving for more than two decades across multiple domains of logistics, from supply chain management to coordinating air, land, and sea expeditionary movements. In 1999, she was named Naval Sea Systems Command Military Logistician of the Year. She later contributed to the architectural design team for the U.S. Navy Enterprise Resource Planning System during a period of major Department of Defense transformation.
After military service, Elizabeth consulted in weapon systems engineering, program management, and organizational consulting. She trained concurrently at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, earning her Holistic Health Practitioner certification. Additional credentials in yoga instruction, early childhood development, secondary school education, and money coaching complete the foundation — weaving structural thinking, somatic awareness, and financial clarity into one whole-life design for change.
Elizabeth holds an M.Sc. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and completed executive leadership studies at the University of Southern California. She lives in Maryland, where she enjoys woodland hikes, volunteering with elementary school chess clubs, sailing, and early morning sunrise walks.
